Awaiting the new Exodus album

I'm highly anticipating the next offering from veteran bay area thrashers 'Exodus'.
The upcoming album titled 'The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A"' is part-one of a planned 2 part concept album series.

Guitarist Gary Holt is very confident and sure that this album will have a tremendous impact amongst fans of thrash metal. "It's going over huge with everyone I've talked to who's heard the record."
This time around Tim Hunting will be returning back to the drum throne in place of Paul Bostaph.

Technical THRASH/SPEED METAL
Download Here (56.66MB) 192kps
Unknown, often overlooked, old School intricate thrash metal band from Sweden. Great riffing, nice leads, rough vocals -not so much of the highpitch style vox found in some old thrash.
Basically this is an early band of Mike Wead's, known for his axe-skills in later mid period Candlemass, later era of Mercyful Fate, and currently playing in King Diamond.
I would recommend this to any fan of old thrash with a technical edge without sounding forced. Great riffs, impressive leads, aggressive speed axe attacks, and thrashing mid tempo metal grooves.

My favorite track on this album is 'Death Walks Among Us', total thrash assault, kicked off with blazing infernal leads from the black abyss!

* Produced by Leif Edling [Candlemass]
* The painting on the cover was later used on Morbid Angel's 'Blessed Are the Sick'

Mainly a one-man project led by Anders Nyström [katatonia/bloodbath] with assistance from Dan Swanö

Katatonia Live Albuquerque, NM

Okay, I'll make this review very short...
I decided to make the 3 hour trek to the concert. Upon arriving to the show, we experienced car trouble and barely made it into the parking lot. Katatonia played many songs off their new album... And they closed their set with 'Murder', which is an old song of theirs that I do like. The fact that we experienced car trouble right before the show, left me feeling uneasy... Almost ruined the show for me.. But I did get to see them play Murder!

My personal favorite tracks are 'I Awoke to a Night of Pain and Carnage', and 'In The Valley of Death I am their King'

Katatonia Live Saturday Sept. 22

Still deciding whether I should attend the Katatonia show in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I saw them play last year on their first U.S. Tour.
The drive is about 3 hours away... and I don't think they'll play any of the old songs I like. Luckily they played 'Murder' when I saw them.
Mainly I am a fan of their old to mid period albums. I consider them classics in the DoomDeath/Blackened DoomDeath style of metal. Still debating whether I should see them play new songs I'm not really into. I would always regret it if they happened to play some surprise 'old era' songs.
I decided to start a blogsite... basically like a personal webpage of my thoughts on metal music, and concerts. Also archiving what I consider to be great metal releases of different styles. Tracklistings, artwork, downloads, and so on. Also cool metal news that I feel ought to get spread around.
