One of the earlier Swedish death metal bands, in 1990 Carnage released one low-tuned, grindy album, Dark Recollections. Carnage is more likely to be remembered as so-and-so's former band, as all but one member went on to record elsewhere.
Michael Amott, who went on to play in Carcass, guest-Candlemass, Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars
Matti Karki, who went on to sing in Dismember
Johnny Dordevic, who went on to play bass in Entombed
Fred Estby, who went on to play drums in Dismember

Great album from Polish band' SCEPTIC'. They play a style of technical deathmetal, with progressive elements (but not so much a chaotic brutal technical style such as necrophagist/suffocation/decapitated...),This album features great solos built upon complex structures. Hints of 'Cynic' here and there. Also features 'Nocturnus ' cover "Arctic Crypt", great cover of the nocturnus track, but without the keyboards which makes for an interesting listen aswell.

Interesting album from Polish band' SCEPTIC'. They play a form of intricate deathmetal, with some progressive elements (but not so much a chaotic brutal technical style such as necrophagist/suffocation/decapitated...), Compared to their earlier works, this album the 'Unbeliever's Script', tones down the technicality and the pace a bit. A unique blend of aggression, intricate riffs backed by tight drumming with very fluid cymbal accenting, melodic , great leads, soft tranquil elements aswell. Straightfoward yet intricate is a good way to describe this album of theirs. Not as intricate as the previous album, yet still good. Hints of 'Cynic' here and there. Nice complex drumming patterns, great riffs, straight to the point without loosing focus.

Great new album from Malevolent Creation. With the return of Brett Hoffman on vocals. Thrashy deathmetal with melody yet still aggressive.
